“Unsafe Hotel Room”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

The old building itself is bacically fine but is looking very tired inside. A Hotel room should be safe & pleasurable. My room & onother person in the adjoining room were certainly not. Service was slow & old hat for todays standards as was the food.

“Good Scottish Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

The Brentwood is situated in Crown Street in Aberdeen, the restaurant is in the basement adjacent to the Bar, the Bar sports an impressive selection of real beer, it's is warm and welcoming and there is no fruit machines or Juke box to ruin the experience.

Tree steps down and you are into the restaurant, again the décor calm and welcoming, the menu is varied and not too expensive, excellent food which is very well presented and served by friendly and helpful staff.

My colleagues had Garlic Mushrooms to start with, I went for the soup of the day, which was cream of mushroom and was excellent. As a main course my colleagues ordered the beef casserole, they stated that it was delicious, I had the venison, and again it was very tasty and well presented.

The serving staff were very friendly and polite, the service was impeccable and fast, all in all it was a very agreeable experience. I look forward to my next visit.

“Mmmmm?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

This is a basement bar / restaurant of a smallish hotel in town used by a lot of guys passing through on their way to work offshore. The food is wholesome and portions are good but not exciting. Beer is the main drink served and teh TV is always on and filled with football, if thats what you want, great, but its not someplace for a quiet meal with my wife.
