Had late booking on a Saturday and fearing the worst, but very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and very reasonable price. Continental breakfast was still a substantial affair even after days of the full Scottish in other accommodation.

Room Tip: Room at the back of the house away from the main road are very quiet.

My wife and I made a booking to stay at the facility prior to a flight from Aberdeen. On arrival the front door was locked, but a note on the door gave three phone numbers to try so as to obtain the key pad code for entry. Woe unto those with a mobile phone! There was no answer with the first number. The second number was answered by a gentleman who provided the key code. He said we should enter, find the kitchen and obtain our room key.

Passing the breakfast room we saw three tables and a small refrigerator. Also present was a self service table with cold cereals. The refrigerator has juice inside and jam portions. No bread or toaster was seen. No kettle or coffee making facilities were there.

We followed the signs to room 4 of a possible 9. We entered our room to find an extremely small room with attached en suite shower room. The room had another note asking us to leave the 70 pounds and it would be collected the following day. It seemed we would not be seeing the owners. No cooked breakfast. This was not disclosed at the time of the booking.

We entered the shower room. Used toilet paper in the bowl. dark grouting at the shower. rusted shower fittings. one hand soap dispenser.

To summarize: promised: an en suite shower twin bedded room for 70 pounds.
received: no cooked breakfast, no personal contact. a filthy disgusting shower room with a matchbox room.

Not knowing any other establishment in Dyce we were resigned to our fate and went out to eat. we found another bed and breakfast and booked it immediately, removing all of our belongings from the Beeches and carrying the six bags 200 yards to the other establishment.
We left a note for the ownership how disgusted we were with both the cleanliness of the room, the quality of the room, and the non-disclosure of the non-cooked breakfast.

I would sooner stay with baboons.

Disappointed that this guest feels they way he does however, I would like to point out a few things that he has overlooked or mis-understood. Our rates at the time of Booking are £35 / Night Single and £55 for a Double or Twin and not £70 as suggested. Facilities at the Beeches are excellent for the Business Traveller and for the Tourist who wants to be self sufficient and left to their own devices.

So for £27.50 per person:- They have En-Suite Room with access to Kitchen, Laundry and self catering Breakfast

The Kitchen has a full size Fridge/Freezer with Cooker, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle and Hotplate Grill along with full access to laundry facilities and very few other local Guest House's would offer this freedom.

The breakfast room is well equipped with 4 Tables and seating for 16 Guests with a large selection of cereals with Juice and milk in the Fridge. A cooked breakfast is available at our Sister Guest House 2 Minutes away however, this guest was told the facilities and never questioned a cooked Breakfast when booking.

Room 4 is far from being a matchbox and further fabrication of the written report given. It measures approx 5 Metres long ( 15 Feet ) and 3 Metres wide ( 12 Feet ) excluding the En-suite and ample space for twin beds even with 6 cases. The rooms are well equipped with Tea/Coffee making facilities and TV with DVD Player, Room 4 also has disability access to the main car park via double patio doors, so bringing 6 or more cases he had into the room could not be easier.

The en-suite is also very large and caters for disabled access hence the layout with wheelchair friendly shower and although its next on our list for refurbishment its still kept clean and the dark grout mentioned is dark grey grout. Toilet paper would never be left and can only suspect foul play to cast the picture given, even so we have instructed our staff to ensure rooms are left clean and presentable.

The Beeches is far from Disgusting and we are not Deceitful in any way and take great pride is the service we offer our customers. The rooms are clean and we are very open to suggestion that could improve our facilities. Soap was available but, perhaps is was the wrong scent or colour - A theme running in previous reviews however, these guests are welcome back to The Beeches and hope we can fulfil their expectations next time.
