I stayed at this hotel for four nights at the beginning of June 2008 only because the accommodation I was staying in (Citywharf Apartments) couldn't accommodate me for the three weeks I was working in Aberdeen.
The hotel was pretty much as I expected, unremarkable and just your average "business" hotel. It was comfortable enough but you got the impression that the staff were making the best of what now seems a bit of a "tired" hotel. A new one is being built and is due to open in the Autumn to replace it.
As I was actually working in the centre of Aberdeen it wasn't really the best location for me (but all I could get at the time) and resulted in a 20 minute drive each morning in heavy traffic to reach the centre of Aberdeen. For someone working or visiting the exhibition centre it is well placed though but there's not really much else in the vicinity by way of pubs, restaurants or entertainment except a MacDonald's so you are pretty much stuck with the hotel unless you want to travel to eat.
I found the bar prices quite expensive £3.25 a pint of larger as was the charge for wi-fi access (which I didn't take) . The TV gives a choice of freeview channels and pay to view movies were also available.
For the price paid per night for my room I didn't consider it particularly good value for money, the rooms were nothing special and the breakfasts likewise, £14.95 if not on a B&B tariff.
Nothing really wrong with the place just your average if somewhat dated hotel, not very inspiring and not somewhere I'd chose to stay again unless perhaps visiting the exhibition centre and forced to stay overnight.
