“Out Wedding Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2012

My wife and I got married here on Dec 4th 2010 with about 6 weeks of planning the whole thing, this would not hav happened if it wasnt due to Scott and his team. He helped us in all ways as calling the hotels own florist to change there xmas theme slightly to suit ours. the food was fantastic and the place i cannot fault.

Any gifts we recieved where put straight into the safe and one person was held resonsible and this made us feel less stressed that we knew everything was safe.

i had the best steak i have ever had in my life.

If you get the chance to stay, eat, or drink at this hotel please do. we only live 20mins away but are thinking of staying for a night and going for a meal again soon.

Absolutely great day at the Hotel, the whole place was looking very nice for Sarah's wedding, the food was excellent & of course the Party at the function was awesome.
I have now been to a wedding, a 30th birthday party & a Hogmany function at the Palm Court & each day / night was splendid. A big thank you goes out to Scott Horner & all his working colleagues for making the Palm Court Hotel the place to be for functions.......a high 5 from the Fringer

Was at the Palm Court on Boxing Day for a friend's wedding reception. Absolutely beautiful decoration, use of two rooms which was ideal as disco in one and band in another. Very friendly staff and delicious food! Excellent evening.

We attended a wedding of a friend at Palm Court hotel on boxing day and the whole experience was fantastic, the hotel is very modern and decorated to a very high standard. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family and I am only slightly disappointed that I did not have an overnight stay as I did see the rooms and they were just as lovely! Great atmosphere and would go back in a second...

The Palm Court was one of the best wedding venues i have ever been to. I got to share a great day with the bride and groom in a Beautiful hotel. The reception rooms were decorated to match the whole wedding party. The staff were all so attentive and looked after each and every guest. The meal was outstanding from the start to the finish with every small detail taken care of. Everything about the Palm Court says quality this was a day to remember for every one of the guests on such a special day.

We were looking for somewhere nice for Sunday lunch and came across the Palm Court.
Had a look at their online menu and thought it seemed like very good value in nice surroundings-£13.95 for two courses.
The food, well what can I say, firstly no choice, only starter which was soup and roast or roast and dessert which was cheesecake. I at least expected a couple of choices.
We both went for the starter, a small bowl of vegetable soup with a couple of slices of bread, but the soup certainly in my opinion wasn't homemade, disappointing.
The main of consisted of a couple of bits of beef which was average at best and the veg? Ha ridiculous, a few dried up roasted potatoes and carrots and that was it. I think it must have been a microwaved sunday dinner.
They advertise this as "a slap up Sunday roast like your mother used to make" Thankfully my mother serves up a real Sunday roast and in future I will stick to that!
