“Good for Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

went to the Lairhillock for lunch yesterday on a snowy April Sunday.
Met with a lovely blazing fire - a very welcome sight.
Would have liked to see a traditional Sunday roast on the menu but a good choice, well presented with very good service.
My husband had the Loin and Belly pork which was lovely but would have been nicer if the belly pork was crispy but only a personal choice.
My Breaded haddock, chips and peas was fine.
£40 for one course and one drink each was a bit pricey but overall worth it and would go back again.
Tables are very close together with not a lot of privacy - our table was fine for two but would have been tight with anyone sat in the third seat.

“Quick, Simple yet delicous lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We popped into this welcoming pub for a quick lunch, great selection on the lunch menu. The restrauant was not busy but it still had a lovely atmoshpere and it was cosy. Food came within 20mins, we ordered two steak and onions ciabattas. Bursting with great flavours and the meat was so tender! There was a small side salad which was fresh with a drizzle of homemade dressing.

Will DEFINATELY be back to try out the evening menu.

“We love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

We have been to Lairhillock quite a few times and every time we have been there, it has been excellent. We love the olde worlde feel with the fire and have yet to have a bad meal there. I loved the the Lairie gambas and had a chicken balmoral-esque main course. Both were delicious. My husband had Cullen skink and breaded sole. Decent portions and too full up for a pudding. We will definitely be going back.

“Great Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

I'd not been here for a long time....decided to go for lunch today...such a lovely sunny drive.
We sat in the lounge bar as we felt it'd be too bright for our 14 week old in the conservatory.
I had the scotch broth soup for starters, my wife had the lamb and black pudding terrine. Both were great!
For mains, I had the breaded sole and my wife had the fish pie. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
No room for pudding!!
Service was friendly!!
Glad we came back.....must try it again soon!!
