We stayed here for one nite just 2 for a nite out with friends. hotel is very clean and breakfast was great. the rooms are large enough, very warm. staff were very friendly. we really just slept here as the hotel didnt have sky tv & we all wanted to watch football. the receptionist gave us names of where to go and we choose The Bently a 3 min walk away. had sunday lunch here which was delicious and only £9.95 for 2 courses. evening entertainment as well. The hotel is very central. close to good shops and pubs. will return.

We had a lovely stay in the Tower hotel making use of the 3 night Easter holiday package - this entitled us to eat at the hotel 2 nights and 3 breakfasts. Since it was a birthday treat we booked a suite and were lucky enough to be allocated the Eleanor..This was located in the tower on the 3rd floor with spectacular views over the bogside - you could see 5 of the murals from your room. The bed was comfy and you had your own seperate living room .Evening meals were very enjoyable in particular the soup and roast beef were delicious. Did not enjoy the breakfasts as much as a lot of the cooked breakfast buffet had been standing too long - excellent fruit salad and blueberry muffins though!
The staff were very helpful and friendly without exception.

We managed to try most of the local watering holes - must have tried 13 of them and would really recommend Tinney's on William Street - a true local pub with great atmosphere. Also Paedar's on waterloo street served the best guinness. We walked the walls , did the Bogside walk and Free Derry museum - which is extremely moving.
We caught the train to Portrush - lovely scenery along the way and a nice seaside town
All in all I would recommend both Derry and The Tower hotel - an excellent city break - Dead on!.

Room Tip: Eleanor Suite for Bogside views

Got here late on a Monday . Restaurant was closed , food served in the bar. Very limited menu . Charge for Wi-fi , which shoud really be free in this day and age. Hotel is a bit tired looking. Car park is very small .

We were visiting Derry for one night, specifically in town for the Derry City FC season opener on a Friday night. We pre-booked a reasonable room rate online (about $80-ish w/ no breakfast). The lobby looks lovely, but unfortunately the rooms have NOT been updated recently. Our room was clean, but furnishings, bathroom and TV were very outdated.

The absolute worst part of our stay was at about 4 AM when a drunk man spent at least 20 minutes knocking on doors and yelling throughout the hall way "Jim! Jim! Jim? Jim!". Whoever he was, "Jim" wasn't waking up through all of this. I tried to dial the front desk to have someone come up and put an end to it, but of course no answer.

One positive is that the location is ideal for exploring the city. Parking was also included in the small garage beneath the building. Arrive early to ensure a spot is available.

We stayed in Derry just one night and we slept at Tower Hotel. The room was big and clean and we slept very well even if our windows looked at the street. It was maybe too warm, but this was due to the sun which shone hard during the day. The staff was helpful and kind. We had a good breakfast. Derry is a small town but from the hotel you can reach the main attraction and the pubs.

From the moment we called to extend our stay and to get directions to the car park, the girl on reception made us feel so welcome, upon arrival we weren't disapointed, we we're met by warm, friendly staff eager to help in making our stay as comfortable as possible, and with a knowledge of the city and it's highlights that would put the tourist board to shame, The room was spotless, spacious and well equipt with tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, t.v. etc, the hotel bar was busy with guest attending a function which created a great atmosphere, and the prices and service we're reasonable, but the "craic" was out of this world, it's my impression that everyone in Derry is either a budding Oscar Wilde or Daniel O'Donnell,, The hotel, its staff, food and drinks were a credit to this famous city and we would highly recommend it to all, thank you Tower Hotel and look forwards to visiting again in your "year of culture"

In Derry for an overnight. Great location for the city. The hotel was weel presented and all the staff very helpful. Even though the Hotel was busy ,especially at breakfast on Sunday, , all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The duty manager was very attentive and took time with all the customers.
I would definitely return.
