This memorial is here to remind us of Bloody Sunday. It is free to look at the murals but is well worth paying to have the guided tour of the murals to get some background on them and the area in general as well as the Free Derry Museum afterwards. The Free Derry wall still changes depending on current civil rights events. It was painted pink for gay marriage rights and when I was there Nelson Mandela's name, birth/death year had been painted on it as well. The murals are kept in good condition and every visitor should have a look at them when visiting Derry.
