Wanted to go back as really enjoyed it but sadly never made it.

Delicious sandwiches- a great range of combinations to choose from. I really like the Mediterranean Veg and Hummus.

“great sandwiches”

Have had lunch here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Can definately recommend the sandwiches which have a great range of fillings and are always really tasty. Good value for money. Pleasant, attentive staff.

“Thee Savoy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

This is the loveliest wee café I have visited in many years! You can keep your lavish pretence of Savoy London, and I have been. This was a comfy, stylish, warm and friendly "proper" cafè.
The art and photography, on exhibit and for sale, of the local people and stunning scenery, was just incredible. This so added to the ambience.
What a wonderful selection of beverages. Eat your heart out Costa, Cafe Nero and Starbucks. This wee café would not look out of place on the avenues de Paris.
You are made to feel very welcome. Nothing is too much for the very friendly staff. There is a choice of comfy couches or dining tables. None of the above salubrious Cafés will offer you a selection of cultured breakfast dishes including the magnificent "Ulster Fry".
You can choose from light dishes to a filling meal, all with locally sourced ingredients and all delicious. How do I know this? I was spending 12 days in the area studying local stories, history and St. Patrick. I kept returning to the Savoy over and over.
Through much travelling, I am used to staying in, and visiting eateries that cater for travellers.
The Savoy, in the stunning, Newcastle, Co. Down, caters for the locals, who expect the best, and travellers are treated just like locals!
I can't wait till I return to this wee gem!
I cannot forgive myself for saying this but visit the Savoy in Newcastle, County Down and you will feel good.
