“Very friendly and lovely room. ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed here April 2015 for a wedding in town. From booking through to the stay everything was very smooth. The room was lovely (we were in Shimna), breakfast was nice and location is really good for going into Newcastle. We'd definitely stay again.

We actually stayed here in December of 2012 but that wasn't an option to say. We think about Newcastle and the Amble In often. We were late getting in and Colm was waiting outside to make sure we found the B&B and to tell us where to park. They both stayed up late chatting with us and offered to take us on a tour the next day. After a wonderful and filling breakfast in the front room, Colm gave us a guided tour of the countryside and gave us a thorough history of the area. Thanks to their generosity, we saw many interesting local sites, ate amazing food, and slept comfortably. It was pretty chilly so the towel warmers in the bathroom were very much appreciated. The room itself was clean, nicely decorated and warm. The entire "downtown" and the beach are easily accessible and within walking distance of the Amble In. We can't wait to visit again. -Kieran and Stephanie M.

We really enjoyed our time at the Amble In. So welcoming and friendly and everything was spotless. Good facilities and great location for spending time on the beach or walking in the Mournes. We would certainly recommend this lovely place to friends and family and hope it is not too long before we return. Many thanks to Colm & Frances.
See you again. Anne & Frank

Room Tip: We had a very spacious room upstairs

Amble in

10/10

The amble inn is a B&B in Newcastle Northen Ireland, it is situated a street away from the town centre. The Amble Inn offers great accommodation for golfers, walkers and holiday makers.

If you walk out from the B&B you can see the highest hill in Ireland. (slieve Donard)

Every morning from 8:00-10:00 (if i remembered the times right) breakfast is served. The fry up contains:
Bacon
Egg
Sausage
Tomato
Soda bread
Potato bread

The room we stayed in was the glen room, with it's three beds and shower room it was perfect for the two nights we were staying.

Over all the two people who run the Amble Inn are very kind and like to help you in anyway.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

What can I say other than our stay with Colm and Francis although brief, was simply fantastic. We had flown over to Gods country for a wedding in Newcastle. On our arrival Francis made us very welcome and when I mentioned we were attending a family wedding, she volunteered Colm (who we hadn't met yet) to drive us to the function suite. And this he did without any fuss.
The Amble Inn is a lovely clean and friendly place to stay. The setting is perfect. The Mourne Mountains looking over the location.
Oh and the breakfast was great.
Thanks Colm and Francis, you made our day.

Room Tip: Francis will sort that out for you.
