“Very nice little B&B with charming owners”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Stayed for 2 nights whilst photographing a friend's wedding nearby. Teresa & John both very welcoming, making sure everything was OK, great hosts.
Room was standard B&B type, had everything required for my stay, only thing missing was an iron which John got for me straight away when I asked, nothing at all to complain about with room, bed also very comfy! Bathroom looks recently renovated, nicely done, sadly didn't get chance to use the jacuzzi bath but it looks very tempting!

Sadly was only able to have breakfast on one of the mornings of my stay, which was very nice indeed and highly recommended, set me up nicely for the long day ahead, Teresa was very helpful making sure coffee, toast etc readily available.

Few reviewers have mentioned the parking, I was told was welcome to use the off-road parking area, however just parked on the side road with no issues at all.

If I had to just pick one thing to niggle about with my stay, best I can come up with is the remote control for the tele was a little temperamental, other than that, would definitely stay again!

An excellent place to stay, Teresa was very welcoming and friendly towards us both. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. A hearty breakfast was served in the morning along with friendly chat. We would highly recommend this B&B to all.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

Family very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. My daughter and I stayed there for two nights. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and even gave us a lift into town as we were almost late for a function. The bed and breakfast is only a short walking distance into the town centre and the location is quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Our room was beautiful. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and toiletries. The sewing kit came in very useful! An unexpected bonus in a clothing emergency. Breakfast was first class also and really set us up for the day. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

We went to Newcastle to hike up Slieve Donard and stayed at the Fairy Glen for one night. It's a lovely wee spot, within walking distance of Newcastle town center and is far enough out of the town, perfectly located. Our room was great, very clean, spacious and everything you need for the night. The bathroom in our room was particularly impressive, very clean and modern and even had a jacuzzi! John and Theresa are both really down to earth and they definitely made us feel welcome. I've stayed in a few B&B's previously but this one is different, there's just something quirky and homely about it. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. It was certainly better than most hotels I have stayed in! Our bed was great, very comfortable! We were a bit late for breakfast in the morning, however, Theresa was kind enough to sort us out with a very good Ulster fry! (Don't miss the breakfast if you do visit). 10 out of 10.

My boyfriend and i stayed overnight here as we were attending a wedding in the town centre. we were able to walk home as the B&B is just a 5 min walk away from the town. Teresa gave us a warm welcome and we were shown our room, I would usually stay in hotels and i can easily say that this room was just as nice as a 3 star hotel. The jacuzzi bath was a bonus and we had everything we needed in the room. The rooms were very clean and well presented, as was the bathroom. Teresa and John are very friendly, welcoming and helpful to their guests.
we are dog lovers as are they and it was nice to hear they are pet friendly too. We would def stay here again and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a good room at a great price!
