Firstly on entering what was a very busy bar,( Manchester united were playing Swansea) Seating appeared to be very limited. However two young gentlemen very kindly offered us their seats and table, this was exceptionally polite given that we were visitors. We went out for a few drinks and were planning to return to our apartment and cook, but on seeing quality and presentation of food we could not resist the temptation and stayed for a meal. Fish (Haddock) with a lovely thin crispy batter, mushy peas, and lovely chips X 2. One Hot sea food platter with a side order of choice. One homemade chicken pie(big enough to serve two people) again with a side order of choice. Food was delicious, cooked fresh and well worth having stayed for. The staff were very friendly and attentive asking several times if everything was okay.
A lovely pub with a lovely atmosphere and well worth a visit should you be in Ballycastle. We will be returning on our next visit.
