Spent the weekend in Ballycastle 30/31 may 09. This restaurant was recommended to us to try; we were advised to book a table as it's so popular. The food was out of this world, beautiful to look at and eat! The service and ambiance was great. We went back the second night to try something different on the menu; everything was excellent & reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best on the Antrim coast. Keep up the good work!!

we look after holiday homes in Ballycastle and everytime we would recommened to our guests The Central Bar as the place to go, to eat or to have a beer or what ever takes your fancy.The entertainment package they have in place for the summer 09 is fantastic and this year again I would have no problem in telling our guests not to miss out on what the Central has to offer, we had a family who stayed in one of our holiday lets recently and on the day they checked out the DAD commented to me that "The Central Bar went a long way to making our holiday go from good to super"

I was recently at a convention function at the Central Wine Bar. It has been my privilege to dine in some of the world's best establishments and, whilst some have been larger, none has been better. Nothing I can write can surpass Chef's call-sign :

I stumbled across the Central Bar two years ago, two weeks after they had opened and was absolutely blown away by the fabulous food, the service, and the setting. Returned this spring with family members and chose the Central as the setting for a reunion with Irish kin-23 of them(!)-and Gemma and her staff,without a doubt ,made the day. Truly in a class by itself!
