“New Grill Bar venture - first rate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2011

Went to the new venture at James Street South last night - steak bar. It does plenty of things as well as steak. Just what you would expect from a kitchen of this class - good quality ingredients well cooked. Not cheap but quality is expensive and this was around £35 a head for three courses without wine. I would have paid more and have frequently had to pay a lot more for less. The best steak and chips in Belfast right now. I had crab on toast to start and it was a great taste as well as artfully presented. Service was attentive without being instrusive.

My husband and I just love this place. The food is absolutely fantastic and its presentation is a work of art. The decor is cool and sophisicated and staff are professionalism personified. Always consistent and has never let us down.

“Fine Dining without the Fuss....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

Visited the restaurant after a recommendation and was not disappointed. The location is very central, yet a little surprising, tucked away at the back of City Hall. I had a call the day before from the restaurant to confirm my booking - all very efficient.
The restaurant is bright and warm with very attentive staff.
The food is very well presented and a treat for your taste buds.

Would suggest that it is a location for a treat or a special occasion.
Would definitely return!

“Always worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2011

Have been going to this restaurant for years and have always left a happy chappy. The food is first class with a well varied menu featuring local seasonal produce. The smartly presented team of staff and management are attentive and pleasant. The only drawback is the tables are too close together and for this reason I favour it as a lunch spot or a place to go with a group rather than for an intimate dinner with the wife.
