“Good food but very busy with tourists”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

I would go back just to have the Beef and Guiness Pie. It was very rich and delicious. They also have a nice range of draft brews on tap. The staff can be a bit distracted because they are continually dealing with the non stop flow of tourists.

“A must see pub for all visitors to Belfast.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

This has to be one of the most popular pubs to visit on Belfast and its not hard to see why. Usually very busy but no visit to Belfast would be complete without dropping in here for a pint or two!

“Unique bar - never seen anything like it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

I visited the bar before catching the airport bus as it is oppositebthe Europa Bus Station. I was there at 5.30pm and had a booth to myself until c 6.15 when a cuple joined me. The bar is beautiful and a must to visit. If it's quiet then you can take exceptional photos. The staff were also friendly and efficient.

“absolutely brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Its hard to find something to add to all the prior reviews. Staying at the Europa or Fitzwilliam hotels across the street... dont bother with their bars.. go to this place it is a wonderul, old world place with all the original decor. and little drinking stables.. from intimate twosies to larger booths that will sit 10 at a squeeze.. I have been all over the world and love pubs, bars etc.. this place was completely different to anything outside of Ireland. an absolute gem.

“depressing staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Although this is quite aa famous bar because of it being an old gin palace it is not very welcoming. I imagine anyone that goes there is a tourist and probably doesnt go back a second time. The bar staff are very rude and it is really hard work trying to get served they go out of thier way to ignore you. I also had the worst plate of irish stew ever, I wasnt sure if it was supposed to be soup! the carrots and potatoes had been grated into it ans still manged to raw
