“Good City Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the bus or train station and a few minutes to the main shopping streets. Nightlife and pubs arnt too far away. The hotel was in the middle of a refurb when we stayed but this didn't affect us. The rooms were nice as always at premier inn. Check inn was easy and staff were all great and friendly. They have good advise where to eat or drink.
Ate breakfast and evening meal which both where great with good service and lovely food. Would choose the hotel again.

Pros:
- Very nice and new hotel. All furniture and amenities were nearly new. Bath was very nice.
- Good location to Downtown and City Hall
- Friendly staff
- Very good value for money

Cons:
- Tiny rooms (20 by 15 feet including the bath). They told us they could accommodate 2 adults and 2 children in one room. They did, but there was literally less than 10 sq feet of carpet showing in the room to put down your stuff.
- Hallways are narrrow, I could brarely get by with one suitcase in hand and the maid trolly parked in the hallway
- No parking. Have to park a block and half away for extra $$$
- Bad service in the hotel restaurant

Room Tip: All rooms have excellent sound insulation on windows. You won't hear the traffic at night.

Easy walking to the city centre from Albert Street. Very clean rooms & the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Bonita & Zoe two of the receptionists. They checked on line for a location we were wanting to walk to & also arranged our city tour bus & causeway trip. Would recommend anyone to stay there & enjoy the wonderful Irish hospitality.

If you have read my review of the Cathedral Quarter Premier Inn you will see the significance of my title! My husband and I like both of these hotels but this one has the edge because of the bath and the fact that there is no issue with lights going on in the bedroom in the middle of the night if someone goes to the loo! This may appear petty on my part but I resent being woken in the night as I have difficulty going back to sleep. In addition this Inn has a good municipal car park close by which is reasonably priced if you want to bring a car. The Cathedral quarter has very expensive private parking. Otherwise both hotels have great rooms, beds and cleanliness and are in equally good locations for exploring the city centre.

Room Tip: Request a twin to ensure a spacious room

Great value city centre hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and even provided me with a free drink as there were problems when I was trying to check in. About a 10 minute walk to the heart of the city centre and half hour to Titanic quarter.

No complaints, room was clean and spacious and perfect for a few nights in the city.

First visit to this Premier Inn, but like all the others I have stayed in the staff were exceptionally friendly, printing off documents that I needed, offering advice about my daughter's visit to the US Embassy, and generally making it a good stay. Room was very clean, as always. No real problem with noise (6th floor) other than people coming back at night and their doors closing but there's not much the hotel can do about that. Great base for city centre shops and touristy things. Stayed at Premier Inn at Cathedral Quarter previously, but both are great locations for visiting.

Room Tip: Go for a high floor to avoid any street noise.
