“Great Little pub!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

We dropped by after our bus tour and was a lovely place to warm up, open fire and great food and drinks.
Friendly staff, but like most pubs, nothing special apart from its history.

There was a good singer that started as we were leaving, good atmosphere.

“1st Licensed pub in Belfast - worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Dating back to 1630, Whites Tavern is located down a small alleyway. It's well worth a visit whilst in Belfast.

“Great little pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

I can't say anything bad about White's Tavern. It's a cozy pub with an open fire serving comfort dishes like Guinness and steak pie and an excellent seafood chowder. The waitress was lovely, I was looking for a place to meet a tour the next day and asked if she knew where it was. As I was walking out she walked with me and down the street and showed me where it was. Stop in for a pint you won't be disappointed. The wine list is worth a read.

“Great pub and great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

This c.1630, the oldest pub in Belfast, is great. A fire burning in the hearth, a Guinness and a good seafood chowder greeted us on a cold day. The service was excellent, the prices reasonable and the atmosphere purely Belfast. Be sure and go before 6 PM and food service is discontinued.

“Lovely atmosphere with lots of character”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

The food here is very tasty and served by pleasant staff.
There is a great selection of drinks and a welcoming open fire in winter time. Nothing pretentious about this bar, its a genuine traditional bar.
Worth eating here.
