Stayed at the Farset a couple years back for almost a month. While they call themselves a "hostel", you should know that it's much more like a budget hotel. Let me explain: there's a 24-hour reception desk (though i remember the young lad nodding off if i was coming in quite late :) ), the rooms are cleaned every day, you get fresh towels when needed (remember the environment, people), there's a tv and FULL bathroom in every room (with a bath/shower -- if you hate tiny shower stalls, you'll be ecstatic. also plenty of counter space for toiletries). There's also tea/coffee maker in each room, and the restaurant serves up a good fry. The rooms were spotless and the staff could not have been kinder. While there was no phone in my room, there's a payphone in the stairwell and the staff does take messages when you're out.
The only downside is the location, as it's not city centre. Rather, it's in West Belfast on the Springfield Road. You can walk (5 minutes, 10 at tops) down to the famous Falls Road and take all of that in, or, if you want to go directly into city centre, there's a bus stop right in front of the Farset.
