“Nice hotel, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

A group of us stayed here for a 30th birthday. The first room I got had no bath and I was dying for a bath due to not having a bath at home, as well as being 6 months pregnant. After phoning reception they moved me right away which was good of them since the hotel was fully booked. Having said that, the walk in showers had massive shower heads and looked like they would be brilliant.

The drinks were reasonably priced and the bar staff were very friendly. I think for the price if the rooms they should include breakfast. We usually only have toast and tea so it seemed silly to pay their breakfast price.
Location is brilliant. Few mins walk from Victoria Square shopping centre.

Room Tip: If you want a room with a bath then request one.

My favourite hotel in Central Belfast when on business. On a main road which isn't very 'scenic' but apart from that all is well. Rooms small but very nice, clean and all mod cons. Bar good and with a good selection of beers including some craft beers. Staff very friendly and helpful and had problem with a pin on card here once, was sorted out without embarrassment and money returned to my account within a day once fixed. Long story but staff were excellent

We have stayed here many times and never did a review!!!
The main reason we stay here is they allow our two very well behaved dogs to stay , not only that they are the most friendliest staff we have come across right from reception to bar to kitchen no issue with dogs, on our last stay because we could not eat with Oscar and Alfie in the bar they set a table for us in the lobby sound impersonal but it was quite romantic the way the table was set and our two dogs sat with us it was the same on both nights and for breakfast nothing was too much trouble, we just sat there all night and the dogs entertained the guests.
the room are well appointed and comfortable, the food is modern and excellent
.

Room Tip: Get a room at the side or back as the road can be noisy

Such interesting decor, there was something different and unusual around every corner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The signs to hang on your door were the best, nothing so pedestrian as 'Please make up my room', Malmaison has signs that read 'This could get messy'; 'Do not disturb' is 'I want to be alone' and the soap dares you to take it home. On the down side, the lighting is dim and it is not cheap but it is in a great location.

Nowhere to park or even drop passengers off. Decor is nice but rooms were so dark it was difficult to find all your stuff when packing to leave. The breakfast was good but I was charged a £2 surcharge for having a cooked rather than continental breakfast. Pathetic.
Rooms were also too hot. There was no Aircon and the knob fell off the thermostat when I tried to turn it down.
How this place merits 4* defeats me I'd have been happier in a budget hotel nearby without the £200 a night price tag.

Staying at this hotel was nothing but superb from start to finish. Staff were pleasant. Rooms were ideal there is nothing one can complain about.
Thanks for a lovely stay would definitely return again. Very central and easy to get most places on foot. Car parking offered nearby in a multistory car park and hotel is pet friendly to. My puppy loved it almost as much as we did.

We only stayed for one night off the back of a recommendation from a friend and we were not dissapointed!
Everything was perfect. Hotel, resturant and bar! The staff were super friendly too.
Looking forward to going back.
