Owner description: The SS Nomadic is known as Titanic's little sister. Built at the same time, by the same people, in the same Harland and Wolff shipyard as Titanic, Nomadic brought those boarding the great liner at Cherbourg to the ship. That was the start of an adventurous life, as she played a part in WW One and Two, carried many famous people to the great trans-Atlantic liners, became a floating restaurant in Paris and was saved from being scrapped by the people of Belfast. Now completely refurbished as a visitor attraction, you can walk in the footsteps of history, learn her story, and become part of the new chapter of her dramatic existence.

“My favorite Titanic site in Belfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

I loved my visit to Titanic Belfast, but climbing aboard the SS Nomadic afterwards was a perfect addition. The staff's enthusiasm and knowledge was fantastic, and it was great getting to interact with a real Titanic artifact.

Interestingly, the Nomadic's life after the Titanic is actually more interesting... there's something special about this ship. She simply refused to go out of service!

I highly recommend this attraction... and I was surprised at how large the ship is on the inside (from the outside it didn't seem that big). Exhibits were very informative and well-produced... staff was fantastic.

“Very interesting & highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Lots of interesting facts about the history of the Hamilton Dock on the dockside. Then you go on board. Very friendly staff explain the tour, which you do in your own time, so you can take as long as you want without feeling you are being pushed along. There are staff nearby if you have any questions. .A lot of interactive displays, and dressing up (for children & adults), great fun. There is so much history and where the Titantic was ill fated, the Nomadic seems to have been lucky itself to have been saved from being scrapped on a couple of occasions but also by saving others during the WW1 & WW2.

We were with friends who were visiting Northern Ireland and hadn't heard of the Nomadic before, but there were also very impressed.

Well worth a visit.

“WOW”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

While small, being on the SS Nomadic takes you back in time. You have a really good insight as to what it would have been like to be tendered to your journey on the Titanic. If you go to the Titanic Experience, you must go on the Nomadic.

“Wonderful - A Must See”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Nomadic was the tender ship for Titanic - the location is great, in dry docks with the Titanic exhibition building right in front of it. Ticket prices are very cheap and you could easily spend 3-4 hours on board. The first level is as it would have been for the first and second class passengers. They have done an amazing restoration job - the quirky barman is a great touch. Every member of staff, without exception is outstanding - very welcoming, friendly and extremely well informed. The information about the ship is laid out and presented very creatively and children love it too. Our 9 year old had a ball in the dressing up areas (so did we!!).
The area about the ship's history in the wars is also excellent.
Don't miss the displays on the quayside, they are fascinating too and the little souvenir shop has some great mementoes - original and different.
We loved our visit, almost preferred it to the Titanic exhibition (even though that was superb also), were so impressed with how they have presented Nomadic and her history and think this is an absolute must see.

“Fabulous visit for all the family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

This is a really good place to visit. Our 6 year old really enjoyed the interactive exhibits and especially the dressing up costumes. The restoration is meticulous and the "crew" really helpful and attentive. There is a wealth of facts and information to absorb so you could spend several hours here. We managed about 2 before heading off. Compared with the neighbouring Titanic exhibition this was excellent value. Well done to all involved!
