We're sorry your experience of The Crooked Mile was a negative one. At the time the bar only opened at 5pm. The bar is now open Mon - Sun 12noon to close and we serve food Mon - Thurs 12 - 4 pm, Fri - Sat 12 - 9pm and Sun 12.30 - 7pm. With great deals like our two course lunch menu for only £5.95, two course dinner for a mere £9.95 and promotional deals on drinks such as a bucket of beer for £10 we've moved on since then. We hope you'll allow us the chance to make amends as we take all comments both good and bad seriously and return once again to The Crooked Mile. Thank you.

“Quaint bar atmosphere. Good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

There was a fairly good choice on the menu. Portions were generous and tasty. The food was served on nice warmed plates. I had steak and my friend had fish. Both enjoyed the meal. The barmaid was very attentive and friendly.

“nice relaxing Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We had Sunday lunch at the Crooked Mile recently. The starter of Mussels was excellent but the sauce served with the salmon main course didn't work for me. The goujons for starters and chicken and steaks with pepper sauce went down well with the rest of the family as did the desserts. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

“Good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

We have visited here twice now. The first time was probably the same night as Emma. If so,the reason the bistro upstairs was closed was due to the snow. A lot of people had cancelled. The bar was cosy and the food was very nice. Next time we went the bistro was open and its much nicer. Again, the food was tasty. Will definitely return.
