There has been an increase of Indian Restaurants/Curry houses in the East side of Belfast over the past few months but this is by far the best, In terms of comfort, ambiance, quality of food and value for money. I stumbled upon this place literally, having given a very ordinary kebab I got on Castlreagh rd to a dog i met in Ardgowan St. Was still hungry and was delighted when behind the cosily lit door, there was a smiling face and a sign that said OPEN.
My needs on that cold winter night were simple. KEBAB. And what a treat, not that strip of cold processed neat, but a full large box with Large Naan bread crammed with real meet. and not just meat, Baked/fried meat, and the sauce......its to die for. You should try it.
Ive been back there a few times and the owners have got to call me by my name now, They have a sit in restaurant with a full menu od 16 different starters, an array of curries (20 types and with chicken (Murg) lamb, beef, king prawm, shrimp. Top that with 18 special dishes. Amazing.
They do a two course lunch sit in for £4.95.
you couldnt beat it with a big stick!
