When in Belfast you must go to this venue, it gives so much history of the city, the people and workers who gave there time to building the Titanic.
A wonderful informative tour, well worth a visit.
It is out of this world.No words can describe this wonderful. The pride of Northern Ireland. Make sure you take at least four hours to complete your tour dont miss out on anything and remember there is lots for you to see outside too
Thought the centre was excellent. It is a beautiful building. The information is well laid out and clear. There is a lot of information so it would take a long time to read every single bit. It was nice to see a museum where (almost) all of the interactives bits worked rather than being out of order. The use of screens and projection was very good. We went on a tuesday and it cost us £10 each which included a free cup of tea or coffe and cake (very generous cakes) in the cafe (which is also very good). I did think it was strange that there was little mention of the unsinkable reputation of the ship and the actual crash. Perhaps they were more focused on the actual people as everybody knows the story. also as has been said you can leave your coats and stuff at reception if you ask which is very helpful
I did enjoy what was at the attraction on the 12th Jan, and thought that was was there was very well thought out and well explained/ displayed. I feel though they have ( or perhaps I along with many others on the day) missed out a bit chunk of the titanic story.... It went from being in charlestown to the morse code SOS... But there was no explanation of why the "unsinkable sunk". My other disapointment was that their wasnt more artefacts recovered displayed there.
On the positive though the shipyard ride was great and i particulaly liked the representations of the different standards of cabins!
Definatley worth a visit and the money as only £12 each ;)
p.s there is a free cloakroom facility if you ask at visitor information which isnt advertised anywhere but very useful
plenty to see at this attraction from the work in the ship yards through to the fitting out of the ship, the launch, the sinking and the salvage, plenty of interactive exhibits for all the family to enjoy. the mock up cabins of 1st 2nd and 3rd class gave you an insight of how different the class divide was. We spent about 3 hours there but could have stayed longer and would go back again. We thought it was great value for money
