“So So”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

The restaurant is nice but it was let down by the food.
There was a thai fish curry on the menu which I asked the waiter about and the answer was a shrug of the shoulders. When it arrived it was curry sauce was straight out of the tin !
The food was disappointing so we will not be back

“I love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013 via mobile

I've never wrote a review on a restaurant but I love this place so much I need to rave about it. Just happened to take this pictures so make a few friends who also love it jealous!
Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff, been at least four times and can't find a bad word to say about it.
We always go mainly for the 777 menu although the starters and desserts are just too tempting. Portions are massive so you could easily go and get a main and glass of wine for user £10. Tonight for deep fried Brie, the steak ciabatta, Eton mess and a glass of wine all for under £20.

If you like good value for money, friendly staff and enjoying beautiful food in a lovely homely setting try Darcys, you won't be disappointed :)

“Great food, but a little more room would be nice...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

No complaints regarding either the food or the service - both were excellent.
It's worth booking ahead as Darcy's is very popular - you could be waiting a while for a table if you turn up on spec.
The only downside is a lack of space: in some areas the tables are very small, with little room to place your drinks never mind any side dishes! That being said, the staff appear well used to this and made sure that any empty plates and bowls were soon removed without making you feel that they were trying to rush you.
Would we go back? Definitely - though we might try for a quieter evening next time

“Why have I not been here before??”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

I visited here tonight with my partner after a spur of the moment decision to dine out.

And I am so glad we made that decision!

The food was fresh, warm and extremely tasty! And good value at £7.77 a dish!

Service was good, attentive but not intrusive.

My only small issue would be that there was a hair in my wine glass. It was promptly replaced with an apologetic smile! These things happen, and it certainly didn't take anything away from the overall experience.

All in all, a very pleasant evening. Will definitely be back!
