“Not impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Stayed here at the weekend, was not impressed at all. The receptionist had a very "whatever" kind of attitude and when I asked for directions he wasn't very helpful. Decor is very date, the window in the room was so small I didn't even notice it to start, bathroom could have been cleaner the only good thing was that the bed was comfortable, definitely not worth the money I paid, won't be going back in a rush!

“Very Helpful Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Stayed here for a Friday night, but got a flat tyre as we arrived. The Manager was most helpful and got me sorted out with a spare jack and information about a nearby tyre depot for Saturday morning. The hotel room was huge, with a mezzanine floor and two beds. All in all a good place to stay and very conveniently located for Queen's University and any of the restaurants in that vicinity. Breakfast was good, plentiful but lacking the fresh egg chef of other chains.

“Time for a makeover”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

A hotel I have been to several times before but now looking very dated and in need of a makeover. Room was not up to scratch. Evening meal had to be eaten in the bar as the restaurant not open, very limited menu, very slow service by uninterested staff.

“The only thing 4 star about this hotel was the comfort of the bed!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Stayed in the Wellington Park Hotel for 2 nights at the end of October 2012 while attending a concert in Belfast. What a disappointment. The bedrooms are a total disgrace and how they can be deemed fit to pass for a 4 star hotel is beyond belief. As I said the only good thing was the comfort of the bed. Poor decor, dirty walls, broken safety catches on the window; not to mention the 'joints' between the sink and bath to the surrounds!! Going downstairs on the Thursday and Friday nights that we stayed there we had to keep our coats on in the lobby/sitting area it was so cold. Air conditioning at high with cold air at the end of October??!! No sign of anyone coming to fix it and the staff on duty were not sufficently interested in finding out why the guests were sitting with outdoor coats on eating what can be said as sub standard food. Reading the other reviews I think that the management of the Wellington Park dont care what their customers say. What I found the most amusing was the 'Trip Advisor' plague hanging on the wall in pride of place stating what great reviews the hotel gets. Someone isn't looking at the bigger picture here! I for one wont be staying at the Wellington Park again.

“Our Complimentary Stay in the Wellington Park Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to win tickets for the Match for Michaela on Saturday the 3rd of November 2012. This included a complimentary bed and breakfast stay in the Wellington Park Hotel.
We found it very handy for getting to Casement Park, The Ulster Museum, The Botanic Gardens, Queens University and Great Victoria Street Station (as well as any number of shops, restaurants, hair-dressers etc.).
Our room didn't have the greatest view but the comfort of it was unrivalled. It was quite spacious and plenty of room to put clothes and other items. If I had one complaint it would be that we could slightly hear the people in the next room but not to the extent that our stay was disrupted.
The entertainment on Saturday night was great with a live singer in the front lobby and a disco towards the back and two bars.
There was a great selection for breakfast on Sunday in the morning as well as great service from the staff who made sure everyone was looked after. It wasn't too busy or hectic which was perfect after a long night in the lobby the night before.
We were very well looked after and enjoyed our stay immensely. We would definitely recommend it and would love to come back again.
