“Cultural and enjoyable afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Great music, art and conversation in this lovely place. You can really relax here and soak up some history and chat away to locals and listen to great session music. Also a good place for events and local info.

“18 April 2013 - no food!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Went for lunch today 18th April. The restaurant is serving only soup and drinks - it seems they're between franchisees. Hopefully this will be resolved soon as it's a great venue and the quality of food has always been good. Still managed to spend lots of money in the bookshop though. One of the best resources for Irish language books and really nice arts and crafts that I know.

“A Real Gem!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Myself & Other half recently had lunch here, and I have to say we were really impressed.
Our food was freshly cooked and so it took a bit longer than normal. The soup I got was cooked fresh and tasted fantastic. NO packet soup here. When main course arrived I was stunned to see how much was on our plates. I has a spicy chicken salad and wow what a tasty salad, best I've ever had. Other half had bear battered fish & chips. He loved his meal. I ask for tea and was informed of ALL the types of tea they served. They also serve many types of coffee too. The service was really great and nothing was too much trouble. We were served with politeness, efficiency and as quick when our food was cooked. Great serving staff. The restaurant was very clean and so was the kitchen (you can see into the kitchen). It's a very busy restaurant. Irish is also wildly spoken here as is English.
Restrooms are very clean too.
There is a shop selling various Irish related items. Art Gallery beside restaurant is really good. Some paintings are for sale.
I'd recommend anyone to visit Culturlann for lunch, a bit of shopping and art.
Fantastic Place!!!!!!
