“chill out zone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Botanic gardens is haven to chill out in on a warm summers day, the museum on a rainy day & the botanical palm house is perfect for a taste of almost tropical warmth when its too cold outside. the history of the buildings & park are very impressive as well. the restaurant in the museum is a bit of a let down but there are many good places nearby like the french bakery, boojum or cayenne

“Good place to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Botanic gardens is small and has not got much to it. It is however a good place to go and relax, especially on good spring/summer day. On good days the park can be very busy and seem over crowded because of its size. I have always enjoyed walking through it at any opportunity and enjoyed many great days there.

“nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

we just used the gardens as an entrance to the ulster museum
(which was excellent).granted, it was autumn and the place was pretty bleak and uninviting.im sure it would be a nice place for a picnic on a hot summers day

“small but near things”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

the gardens aren't very big or exciting, but pair them with a walk by the Queens University, a visit to the Ulster museum etc and you have a day/half day. the area is worth doing.

“beautiful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

I love botanic gardens its beaut. In the summer the main green is a bit like festival grounds- there are so many people but have a walk around the stream and you can always find a quiet corner somewhere. Best parts - the tropical ravine is my fave!! Botanic is small but there are lots of interesting parts if you explore
