“Great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I found the hotel online through trip adviser. Good value room, clean and presentable for a one night stay. Receptioist was very helpful and even went to the trouble of searching for a restaurant for me to use.
Right in the heart of student area, it was cocktail night at £3 a go!
Breakfast the next morning was not buffet style, but it was cooked to order - it whole breakfast had too many dry components and would have benefited from an extra tomato, beans etc.

There was no on site parking, so had to leave the car on a side street, but there was cctv.

“welcome return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

A short walk across the street from the train station and I was "home"! Zeus welcomed me from his station over looking Botanic and Corrinne welcomed me from behind the desk. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the food and drinks are divine and the staff are pleasant and helpful.
What a fun area! Great vintage shop across the street and a block or so down, Starbucks across the street and a block or so the other direction. Great people watching...excellent happy hour. Even the street side rooms are quiet. I can not wait to go back....

Room Tip: Room 204 has Zeus right outside your window

“Nice try not quite succeeeding”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Arrived on Sunday for a post birthday treat arranged by my partner. Room was a superior room and maybe it was seemed to have been recently refurbished but not to an incredible standard. My partner had arranged champagne for the room and we had a nice view over the street. Unfortunately the room was very cold and to be truthful never reached a comfortable temperature for me. There was supposed to be complimentary water and fruit provided, neither of which was in the room. We were going out for dinner so we left at this point. On our return the room was still cold and I could find no temperature controls, the television was badly pixelated and the wi-fi was useless(but free). The bed seemed comfortable so I decided to go to bed, not enough pillows, there was only a sheet and a throw, no duvet or blankets.

Breakfast had good hot selection, was tasty and staff helpful and friendly.

All in all it was an average stay.
