“Wouldn't recommend”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

Not good. Hotel is a good 5 minutes out of town by taxi (£7) and certainly not worthy of its 4 star rating. It's old and tired and certain parts have had a poor make over and gives the impression of trying too hard. We paid extra for an executive room which was hideously decorated in horrendous black and white wallpaper with pink and leopard print!!! We also expected a "luxury" bathroom which was very shoddy, stank of mould, shower constantly ran all night, jet bath didn't work properly and the extra touch of "luxury"... A tv in the bathroom...DIDNT WORK!!!!!! The dining room was like something out the 50's and the bar....!!!!

I would definitely not recommend this hotel and if you are visiting Belfast the fitzwilliam, benedicts,Hilton and premier inn are all right in the centre and would offer much better value for money. You also wouldn't need to rely on the rip off taxis and buses.

“touch of class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

My partner and i were attending a concert in Belfast and we were looking for a wee one night stay which was easy to get to and from the venue. We booked an executive twin room and it was more than we could have imagined, lovely room with en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and step in shower also. Next morning Breakfast was served in the restaurant and service was excellent and all staff very friendly and helpful from moment we arrived. We would certainly recommend a stay at this marvellous hotel.

Room Tip: most rooms would be excellent

“Family friendly, ideal for access to Belfast.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

We have stayed 2 to 3 x a year at this hotel since the no smoking ban, (with a few times previously), and have found the location ideal for our needs. Close to the city airport, it is ideal for families, and business trips. Only a few minutes from the 'ring road', and motorway, giving access to all parts of Belfast, and easy motoring to the rest of the country.
The staff have always been very helpful, considerate, and friendly, and we've made a few friends over the years. The excellent all round full breakfast is included in the room price, so watch the waist line, and evening meals in the restaurant are best booked in advance, especially at weekends. (Downside is restaurant closes at 20.00hrs on sunday)
If planning to stay during the summer, and / or Christmas periods, best to book early.
Enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, although of varying sizes. Ask for a room not overlooking the entertainment suit...

“hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

This was my second stay at the Park Avenue and yet again I found the accommodation and service exceptional. The hotel is centrally located, only being a five minute drive to Belfast city centre and very convenient to Ravenhill rugby grounds.
Breakfast and bar snacks are excellent.Superb value for money.
Reception staff professional, efficient and friendly

“Would not recommend”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

The room was not great- very basic.. I really dont understand the hype about this place, The noise of the aircon system was very annoying - kept waking up because of it. Then when we used the shower it was like a jack hammer was going off in the room. When checking out we were never asked how our stay was so it was awkward bringing up the complaints but it had to be said. Nothing special about this hotel at all. Very basic no frills. Would not recommend park avenue to anyone
