“Excellent value & quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

Stayed 2nights in Feb. Had a great time. Excellent value.
Must admit tho, street it's on is not great. On walking up we saw boarded up houses, litter, smashed glass etc & didn't like what we saw. To make matters worse we couldn't get in room til gone 3.30pm (2pm check in). We went back twice to be told it's not ready & to return later (not ideal).
Staff are great & very well mannered. Very helpful & courteous. The room we got was an annex but we were expecting that. It had no view & was a bit small, but again we knew that & the room itself was comfy, clean with good facilities. Bathroom was clean & spacious enough. But didn't have toothbrush holders or soap holder, very minor details though.
The breakfasts were excellent with wide variety, good quality & excellent service.
Situated 15min walk to Belfast centre but bars/cafés close by. The walk is fine though.
The hotel was good but the staff excellent. Fantastic value.
If I were manager I would consider a small bar near reception.
Well worth booking this hotel for good quality & good value

We had a lovely stay at Tara Lodge on 15/2/14. The rooms are gorgeous, very modern and well equipped. Free parking which is sort after in the city. Staff fantastic and breakfast was great. Tara lodge is in a city centre location. Shops and restaurants are within wailing distance and taxis are very reasonable 5*

We stayed at the Tara Lodge in February 2014. Hotel was very clean and all staff very friendly. If you ever wanted anything you only had to ask. Breakfast is very tasty. Rooms furnished to a very high standard and very comfortable. Hotel recommendations of places to eat and where to visit were also very well received. Everyone we met in Belfast was also very friendly and always willing to help. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming again soon.

Excellent front desk service. Beautifully decorated. Cleaning 100%.
Excellent location. Small car park facility but safe enough to park on the street.
Scrumptious breakfast - omlette is delicious, complements to the chef.
Our room was exquisite - well decorated and immaculately clean. Great size bathroom with plenty of room at the wash basin for toiletries.
Lots of eateries close by and best of all there is a starbucks around the corner - great for morning after!

A genuine little hotel nestled away in Belfast. All the staff were lovely and made us feel at home. The room was nice and practical and very comfortable. I would say we got very lucky in that we had a hire car and were able to park it in their rear car park. However I don't know what other options we would've had if this wasn't the case.

It's a short walk (15-20mins) to the heart of Belfast passing restaurants and cafés. Also close to the Titanic museum!

The front of house service was very personable and friendly. The breakfast service was fantastic. The quality of the breakfast was good. I liked the fact that they offered traditional grub on the menu. Pity they don't offer a dinner option - I am sure that would be popular. However, if you don't mind a 10 to 20 minute walk, there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from. The immediate surrounds are not that flash, but any location near a train station won't be. The room is well equipped. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Tara Lodge between Christmas and New Year. It's in a good location walking distance to the city centre. We stayed in the annexe we had booked two rooms mine and my husbands room was small but clean and warm (this was important when we came back from our day trips as the weather was wet and cold) and my sister and her husbands room was on the front of the annexe a much bigger room but again clean and warm. The staff at reception were really helpful, we booked to go to the Giants Causeway with their help and they told us the best way to see the city. The breakfasts were just lovely no complaints what so ever and lots of choice. The staff at breakfast could not be more helpful. If we were to visit Belfast again we would book Tara Lodge again.

Room Tip: If you want a large room in the annexe ask for a room at the front. The rooms at the back are smalle...
