“Definitely be back here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

I stayed here last night with 3 of my close friends. It's within walking distance to the Christmas Markets which was great. Theres free Wi-fi, which is so handy. The staff couldn't have been friendlier night or day. The breakfast was beautiful. Really sets you up for a day of shopping in Belfast. And the beds are amazing!!!! The most comfortable bed I have ever had the pleasure of using. So comfy. We will definitely be back and tell everyone.

“A fantastic place to stay in Belfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Tara Lodge for 2 nights at the beginning of our two-week trip to the UK and Ireland. We have nothing but good things to say about this quaint and friendly hotel! Our room was clean and well-furnished, the staff was very helpful and the breakfast was so much more than we expected (all-included - full breakfast options). The location was great; it was on a quiet side street, but very close to local night life and the city centre. When we arrived in the afternoon, our room was quickly made available to us, which was great because we has travelled over-night from New York. Tara lodge, we will be back!

“Surprisingly nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

You wouldn't expect to find the #1 rated hotel in Belfast in a side street surrounded by student flats, but that's exactly where you'll find the Tara Lodge. And once you've navigated into one of the limited car parking spaces that are available in the oddly shaped car park, you'll discover that the Tara Lodge is a real gem. I don't think it is worth five stars because it's obviously not a luxury hotel and it lacks some facilities such as a restaurant and residents' lounge or other public seating area, but the bedrooms are fine (nicely decorated) and bathrooms are clean. I never like having to step into a bath to get a shower but that's OK as well. Free Wi-Fi is OK, although the signal wasn't strong enough for an iPhone to connect in the room that we have and the need to constantly enter a username and password is tiresome. The staff are extremely friendly and want to help, which is always nice and the location of the hotel makes it easy to walk to Belfast's shopping and restaurants. Breakfast is served in a bright room with a smile. The Ulster Fry is worth having if your heart is healthy - otherwise try the porridge. Overall, a very useful hotel to know about in Belfast and one that is easy to like.

Room Tip: The rooms that face Cromwell Road might be noisy at night if students have been out partying, so a r...

“Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

Stayed here for one night recently. Nice location close to Queens University - surrounded by cafes and bars. About a 10 minute walk into the City Centre or £4 by taxi. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the room was very clean with an astonishingly comfortable bed! Breakfast is included in the (very reasonable) room price and my full Irish was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.
