“Been here three times now”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2010

Been to this Guesthouse three times now and it keeps improving every time. I felt very welcome and the service was great. there seems to be a real effort at this guesthouse to keep improving which is great to see. the rooms a clean and well presented so will continue to stay here when I stay up at Belfast.

I stayed 1 night b&b in a single room for £31. It is about 1 miles from city centre in a pleasant residential street. Has small car park down a very narrow driveway. Room has small tv and washbasin. Toilet and bathroom shared with other rooms

Good points:
1. Very cheap for excellent location just south of city centre in university area
2. Nice breakfast
3. Everything was tidy and all appliances worked ok.
4. Proprietor was friendly and efficient

Bad points
1. Single room was very small and its furniture i.e. wardrobe and drawers was flimsy
2. Standard of decoration in rooms and bathroom was mediocre

I would stay there again if I was travelling on my own for a short break, as the bad points are compensated for by the price.

this is a pleasent house, clean and comfortable, and you get value for your money. I had no problems while staying here, and would stay again.

I stayed at the Windermere in 2008. I was in Belfast for 1 week - this was the WORST place we stayed! The rooms did not feel clean, the shower did not work (I ended up taking a styrafoam cup and splashing myself with the freezing cold water from the shower). I don't think that I am a picky traveler at all but I was majorly dissapointed with this place! Even trying to charge my batteries with a converter (as I am from Canada) blew the plug socket and it started smoking.....there was not a smoke detector in our room either. After staying in other places in Belfast for the same price, this is not a place I would recommend at all and as I said before I am NOT a picky traveler.

The room was not really bad but there is absolutely something wrong with the service
As i have booked the room online, i thought i could pay online by creadit card aswell but i found out that i have to pay cash when i check out, i was lucky that i have got such amount of money. The worst thing is they run a B&B and they dont even have any changes. i mean a B&B have no changes and at last i have to give up those few pounds. I am not saying those few pounds is a big deal but i kind of think they did this purposely.

I would recommend other options if available.

I stayed at Windermere Guest House for 3 nights in January and found it to be clean, comfortable and the staff to be helpful and friendly. The choice of food for breakfast was great. I will be booking to stay again next time I travel to Belfast.
