“Quirky restaurant, well worth a visit!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

A great place with fabulously quirky décor. The menu was extensive and the food excellent, if perhaps a little pricey for some menu choices. We had a great meal though and the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely go back.

“customer service - nil”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

Oh dear! Without going into the details of our very disappointing experience here, my disappointment was consolidated with the drastically poor and unprofessional way in which our complaints were dealt with by two different members of management! Talk about feeling antagonised and out of order for expressing our concerns! No-one got back back to us!

“Great Ambience, great atmosphere, great staff, pity about the food!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Have eaten here twice. First time was Sunday lunch, we had the special - Roast Beef dinner, which was okay. Had Dinner tonight with my young grand daughter. Had the ginger beer battered hake with chips etc. Batter on the fish was burnt, didn't like the tartare sauce. My grand daughter had the Pizza from the children's menu. It was awful, she didn't eat any of it. The base was as tough as leather, I couldn't cut it with the knife. The cheese was totally overcooked and all come off the base. My wife had hake with champ from the special's board. She did enjoy it, but it certainly wasn't worth the £14.00 price tag. There is better value to be had elsewhere. Overall the ambience is great, there is a fantastic atmosphere, the staff are excellent and attentive and it is very popular place, but the food lets it down badly. We only had main course each and one children's meal which cost £40.00 in total, to be honest I felt I had my pocket picked.

“Good Atmosphere, OK Service, Poor Fish”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We like MIB and have visited the other Belfast restaurant but this was our first visit to the Talbot Street MIB. Decor and atmosphere were great and the service was friendly if a bit slow. Both the kids enjoyed their meals of burgers and falafal but the fish dishes were very poor. My wife's salmon was cremated and had to go back - a first for us. My lobster was very overcooked and rubbery.
Need to work on this side of the experience.

“Great family meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

16 of us went to MIB tonight for a family meal including 2 young children. The food, drink and service was all excellent. I can personally recommend the burger and flat iron steak. The staff were very attentive and kept us topped up on drinks. Love the decor and atmosphere and look forward to returning.
