“Beautiful place shame about the food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a short break from the kids last nite and i was really impressed with first impressons lovely hotel great friendly staff and we loved our room. We had a show to see and were beginning to run out of time so looked at the menu for the caussire resturant and thought looks ok why not. Big mistake our plan was 3courses and coffee etc but once we finished our starter it took at least 30mins for our main to arrive when it arrived the plates were cold meat was cold i had no choice but to send it back this time it was quicker and it was warm as were the plates but the food lacked flavour and seasoning needless to say we ended our meal there and got the bill which waiter i sent the order back with imformed us there would be no charge for our starters or sides which was a nice gesture but i would of preffered the meal that was to fault free of cost instead. This is a great hotel wit great staff and beautiful surroundings and i would stay there again but i def wont be eating in the resturant and would not recommend it to anyone.

Stopped off on the way back from airport. Club sandwich & chips were really good. Daughter had tuna melt which she wolfed down & really enjoyed Wine is a bit expensive, but all in all very enjoyable. Worth another visit.

I can't speak highly enough about the care and attention given by hotel staff to our special needs pupils on the evening of our school formal. Obviously they would not have made a lot of money out of us but their care, attention and comradeship shown to the pupils was above and beyond the call of duty. Special thanks to Helen and Alan who mingled with their 'special' guests' in what was a new and potentially intimidating occasion- the pupils' first school formal.
The food was wonderful- and plenty of it ( compliments to the chefs), service swift, professional and friendly, bar staff where vigilant to ensure no underage drinking and the Penthouse itself was beautifully decorated for the occasion. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough for school parties, vulnerable groups etc. Well done to all hotel staff involved

Stayed here in March while on a tour of Ireland with my sister and brother-in-law. We were very pleased with the Europa with rates less than 100 GBP including breakfast (buffet, including full Irish). The staff was fantastic in setting up tours and everything else we needed for our stay in Belfast and it was right across from the Crown Pub which was cool. The hotel also has a few good bars as well and a rich history of its own. Would definitely come back for another stay!

Overnight stay at the Europa 21/05.

Rooms - I was given a "classic" room, which whilst small was very comfy! Excellent night's sleep.
Breakfast - Standard buffet. Very tasty.
Staff - the gentlemen on reception were professional and polite.
Location - good.
Value - I think the room was about £85 for the night, which seems reasonable to me

Only bugbear is wifi - whilst it's free in the common areas, it's charageable in the rooms!

Would most certainly stay here again.

I stayed here with my wife. Very central hotel, opposite the crown pub. We stayed for 3 days. The staff are very friendly, tho concierge are very friendly, only the charge of 16 euros per day was too much for a car park. Suggest you to park the car about 200 metres away at a car park. The breakfast was disappointing. Rest the hotel was real great.would definitely suggest to all
