Visited this museum with my wife on 11TH January 2013.It is situated in the Botanic gardens next door to Queens University. The botanic gardens are worth a look, particularly the Palm House full of wonderful palms and cacti. The museum caters for all ages and is wheelchair and push chair friendly. There are lots of interactive things to try for the children, plus an excellent Nature section.Being on several floors there are walkways and also lifts if you dont fancy walking to the top floor.I am not an art lover but there is an exhiition of Kenneth Shoesmiths work, only until the 7th April 2013.He was an artist who joined the Royal Mail Company travelling the world, and when time permitted he painted Maritime Scenes.I have to say I was mesmerised by the beauty and detail of these paintings. This exhibition is a must if visiting whilst it is still on show! What started out as a quick look round the museum turned into several hours of pleasurable relaxation and entertainment.Best of all it is FREE!!
