Cannot believe how the above review strikes a huge resemblance with my own experience last week. First of all, i was rudely asked to move seat from a table that had no reserved sign. I then waited for someone to take my order. After ten minutes i approached the counter and ordered myself. After half an hour's wait i still had not been served. Lots of people who came in after me (i presume the reserved group) got served and i went to the counter to see why it was taking so long. The young male manager said well if you don't like it here leave. I couldn't believe my ears. I asked to speak to the owner. She was very aggressive and rude to me i never felt so humiliated. She accused me of being aggressive and for a second time i was asked to leave. It was a hugely humiliating experience and i burst into tears on my way out. This is the worst possible advertisement for Belfasts premier Irish language institution. Sadly the culturlann restaurant seems to be lacking a cead mile failte attitude.
