“Memories .... and a pretty tasty pastie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

On a recent visit back to Belfast we called into Bishops Restaurant in Bradbury Place. We wanted to have a 'proper pastie - Northern Ireland style'. This pastie is not like a Cornish Pastie; there is no pastry involved.

Bishop's did not disappoint. The staff were very pleasant and as it was lunchtime, everything was very freshly cooked. This restaruant is always busy no matter what time of the day or night you go there, and there is always a queue, so that speaks volumes on how good the food is.

You can sit in the Restaurant and have waitress service, you can order food at the carry out and sit in their booths or just simply to order and take away.

If you want a great experience, and you have never had a pastie supper in Northern Ireland before, go and try one. They are amazing.

“going down hill”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Cant stand hot food served on cold plates! Fish was nice and it was hot, chips were freezing, Plate was cold! wasn't overly impressed - standards seem to have dropped over the last year. Yesterday put me off - wouldn't be bothered to return to this restaurant again unfortuately.

“always good for a pastie supper!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Whenever I get back to Belfast I always go to Bishops for a pastie supper!... Typical Norn Iron chippy.... Pastie supper good even if the chips were a wee bit hard, lots of gorgeous brown bread with butter and a huge pot of tea... the other thing better was a few pints of the brown stuff afterwards on the way home!
