My wife and I ate here this morning (10th nov 2012) I can only back up the previous reviews . The Ulster fry up is superb. Nothing fancy just decent portions of quality food well cooked. Coffee v nice too.

“Good old fashion cafe - best 'traditional' fry in Belfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Really is the best place to get the weekend fry up, great value for money and the staff are always very helpful and friendly given that it is always packed. The buzz is great and there is an early bird menu too. Have had fried eggs on toast at many Cafes in Belfast but they really do it the proper way (you think you couldn't taste or get this simple order differently but believe you can), the choice is vast and they are open to changes or additions unlike many places. It's not a fancy place but there is an old style diner feeling! Go for value for money and good food it's a place for everyone, the regulars that come back every day or week cannot be wrong and I count myself as one. It's a Belfast institution and I can see why. (if you are expecting Michelin stars, or posh cutlery and fancy food then Brights will not be you cup of tea, but if you looking for yummy, comfort food done to a good standard without the frills or fuss then this is your place)

“Good Dirty Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

Cheap, wholesome dirty food! Perfect food and always satisfying! Will alway return! The only thing that lets it down is the service...but it's forgivable as its always busy :-)

“Delicious Ulster Fry for £3.50!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

This place has been recommended by the Observer Food Awards and they have got it right!.

Not your usual fry up cafe, has a vintage air to the place (in a good way!).

Food is amazing full Ulster Fry for £3.50 including Soda bread, potato cake, 2 sausages, bacon, tomato, mushroom & egg. (Prices goes up to £4.50 after midday).

Each component was cooked to perfection. The service was quick & efficient and the open kitchen looked well run, clean & efficient. At this price why go anywhere else.

There is a second restaurant in Castle Street.
