We have a saying here in NI "it's not bad" which generally means it wasn't terrible but it wasn't great which unfortunately is my experience of St. George's Market Bar & Grill. We went there last Saturday night as a party of 10 and all had really been looking forward to it.
The venue is lovely and the staff were attentive however the food was just ok. I ordered the seafood chowder to start and and although it tasted nice it's not what I would call proper chowder as I had to search for the fish which had been left in too long and hence shrivelled up. For my main course I ordered the chicken dish on the menu and again was nice nothing too exciting.
I suppose my point is this is a nice restaurant but not a great restaurant and with so much competition nearby I would definitely consider other options next time I go out in Belfast.
