“Delicious breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Breakfast was the highlight at Sleepy Cedars, so nice to be served homemade yoghurt and bread, proper french press coffee, fruit salad and sweet potato pancakes rather than the ubiquitous full English.

A short cab or bus ride into the centre of town but also walkable if you have time.... We would have stayed somewhere more central as only in Belfast for one night but accommodation was hard to find, in the end we were happy where we were.

Very friendly and helpful with a wonderful breakfast. Described as continental it included a lot with homemade yoghurt chutney and jam. Very good use of space and close to Belfast and to the Castle. Rooms are small but great value for money.

Looked forward to this weekend break for ages and couldn't book anywhere else because everywhere booked out so close to Christmas. So we booked this room with shared bathroom facilities.
Couldn't have swung a cat in the room so got a taxi into the town to go shopping. Came back to get ready for night out, room freezing and no heat. Literally shivering with the cold. Went to go for shower, no hot water so didn't go out feeling the best.
Phoned and texted guest house owner and no reply until next morning at check out when we were told the heat wasn't working. No compensation offered for a terrible nights sleep.
Also had to search house for a scart lead to get the TV to work.
Glass door panel into our room as well so had to be careful when changing.
Can't comment on breakfast because we were so p****d off that we didn't eat it.
Days Hotel, Ibis, Travel lodge, Premier inn - all in the city centre and have never had a bother. Rarely stay in guest houses now because of it!

Me and my girlfriend stayed in this B&B together for a weekend. It's located within good distance of Belfast City Centre in a quiet residential area. We were contacted by Aofie the hotels owner prior to arriving who Waiting patiently for our arrival even though our plane was last and we got there at 2130 hrs. After apologising for our later arrival we were informed that due to a cancellation we could have a room upgrade for no extra cost. The original room was fine however the upgraded room was exceptional, and was full of character. Aofie just kept impressing us with a fantastic breakfast with homemade jam, bread and brownies. The breakfast was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for friendly, comfy accommodation with character you will not get from a more expensive hotel chain. Many thanks. Geraint and Kirsty

Forget the Europa or jury's and stay here. Great location, quiet and easy access into the city. Our room was large, airy and light. The bed was really comfortable and the linen good quality and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is delicious, fresh and home made. This place is a gem.

My18 year old daughter and I recently spent 8 nights at Sleepy Cedars.
We were so happy with everything about the B and B. It was clean, comfortable and close to everything.
The hostess. Aoife was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The breakfast each morning was great.....and we really enjoyed the home made jam and bread.
Our sunny room had free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities. There was a selection of DVDs and books and a very good television set.
I would highly recommend this reasonably priced establishment and would happily stay there again in the future.

I stayed here for 3 nights -August/Sep 2012 in the attic room with ensuite. Clean ,quiet and comfotable, I wanted for nothing. Breakfast was an ample and tasty affair at a table where all the guests were seated and we swapped impressions of Belfast. The owner of the b &b is a charmer who also teaches violin and piano if you want to learn. I had an enjoyable stay and it was within very easy reach of the city centre. Would definitely stay again
