“Lunch at The Grill - cannot fault it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Enjoyed our second visit for lunch at The Grill at Ten Square today, Valentines Day, and just cannot find fault anywhere. Friendly, welcoming service staff and my meal of the smoked haddock with mash and creamed leeks and bacon was melt-in-the-mouth divine. Husband said his rib-eye steak was tender as, very flavoursome and enjoyed the big fat chips served in the wee 'fry' basket. Once again, the pale smoked haddock was superb, never tasted better.
Belfast eateries have suffered in the past two months due to the flag protest thing...get out there and support them, we need our great places to eat in Belfast, not closed restaurants.
Hope to go again soon - well done.

“afternoon tea with a terrible twist”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

My daughter purchased a groupon voucher for afternoon tea with a twist for ten square, the twist was cocktail from a tea pot.one of our glasses had lipstick on it and was changed promptly, staff were lovely and attentive .Contents of food were 2 tiny, cold unappetising vol au vents, 2 finger sized dry tuna wraps, 2 half slices of wheaten bread and prawns, 2 tiny stale scones, dollop of jam and cream in same ramekin, 1 tiny fruit mousse sitting on same plate as scones, 2 PLAIN undecorated fairy cakes in foil cases, 1 shop bought pastry, a few chunky chips which were delicious, and a few salad leaves. Full price for this experience should have been £50, we got it for half price. I sent them a private facebook message and I was then blocked from making further comments, this is the reason that I am now commenting here, and as yet my daughters email sent on Sat night has been ignored, I rang the manager today who is looking into our complaint, all in all a very disappointing experience on Saturday 2nd Feb 2013

“Terrible Afternoon Tea”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Very disappointing, not worth £25 on Groupon, would hate to have paid the £50 they were asking for. room was freezing, stingy on cocktails, food was tasteless, salad was a joke (a few leaves in a dish) scones were not fresh, jam and cream in same small dish, pastry a disgrace and savoury food mean and tasteless. The presentation of the food was on plates that have seen better days, actually have better in our school canteen. Not a doilie or any colour in sight. Then the whole experience was topped off with a long hair stuck to the inside of my glass, got a meagre apology. This was our first port of call on what was supposed to be a girlie weekend in Belfast, was a disappointing first stop, thankfully the rest of the weekend was great. Visited Ten Square on Saturday 2nd Feb 2013 at 12 noon

“Afternoon tea with a twist??”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

We came here for afternoon tea with a twist ( cocktails served in teapots) it was a deal off groupon and cost £25.

When we arrived we were seated and told that someone would be with us. The place was packed with everyone having afternoon tea and there seemed to be only 2 staff on the floor. We waited for around ten minutes for 1st service. We gave the waitress our cocktail orders which arrived quickly in teapots.

I'm not a massive drinker but there cannot have been much if any alcohol in these cocktails.

The afternoon tea arrived the food was scarce not an equal amount of food for 2 as there was 3 of everything. I left quite hungry and a wee bit disappointed that they seemed to reduce the amount of food and alcohol just to pack as many people in as possible.

This afternoon tea usually cost £50 per couple, I would not have been happy if I paid the full price.

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

This is one of mine & my bfs favourite restaurants in Belfast. We nearly always get same thing. Ribs are so tender and delicious (best in Belfast) and I always get noodles with chicken. Big portions make up for the little more pricy tag. Staff always very attentive and great service. Always busy so I always book so don't get disappointed or have to wait. Cocktail menu is great also.
