“A lovely place, will definitely return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

We camped here on the 6th June for one night, it was a whirlwind decision and a good one! The staff are lovely here and the facilities are brilliant. We had a choice of a good few pitches including a view over the amazing Three Cliffs Bay, but because of the storm forecast we chose the shelter of a hedge. We still had a lovely view of the country from our porch. We didn't barbecue we went to a local pub (I've forgotten the name!) Five minutes down the road (turn right when you drive out of the site, keep going and its on your left by the turning for the Gower Heritage Centre) we had two meals for £10.
All in all we will be coming back! There is so much to explore in that area, I look forward to next time.

Travelled here as a family of 5 (kids 6, 8 & 10) and were joined by another family with 2 children. We had researched the site and were attracted by the location and the focus on families. We arrived on the bank holiday weekend with the rain starting to fall. Greeted in the site shop/reception by the very friendly owners. Quickly checked in and then shown to a pitch in the 'paddock' field by the efficient wardens.

Site as described in other reviews. A paddock field which is ideal if you want a flat pitch and loads of room for the kids to play. The field closest to the cliffs (with the amazing view) has flatter pitches mostly for caravans/motorhomes with electrical hook ups and tent pitches which start on the flat and then go up the side of a reasonably steep hill. We chose the paddock as we wanted the space and the view is only 2 minutes walk away.

Whilst the site was full it never felt crowded. The tents are not packed in and there is plenty of room. Our pitches were at the side of the field hence we only had people on either side. There are some pitches in the middle of the field where you are surrounded on 3 slides but certainly not cramped.

The facilities are basic but very clean. Despite the inclement weather whilst we were at the site, the wardens worked tirelessly to keep the toilet facilities clean. Showers are clean, hot and free. Only downside was the walk from our pitch to the toilets which was a bit of a trek. The site shop has all of the essentials and was great to grab a cup of tea in there to shelter from the rain.

This is a family site and the wardens do enforce this. Nothing overbearing but this is not the place to go if you want to party into the early hours. This was perfect for us as we have had holidays spoilt in the past by inconsiderate neighbours. For those of a similar view this is a major positive.

The views from the site are amazing. Three Cliffs Bay is beautiful and accessed via a 15 minute walk from the site. Not really buggy friendly and a fair walk back uphill carrying beach gear. The beach is sandy and perfect for young children with a shallow gradient into the sea. This was our first trip to the Gower and we were blown away by the scenery - unspoilt sandy beaches.

Overall, we had an amazing time despite some 'challenging' weather.

Came here with my family of 4 adults and 4 kids, ages 3,5,6&13. Not a lot for the kids to do, no play ground etc. facilities are quite minimal. Small on site shop. But beautiful location. We brought the bikes, but it wasn't practical to cycle from the site anywhere, where had to transport the bikes to the other side of Swansea to get onto the national bike track. Parked at a pub called the railway inn on the Gower road. Than cycles into Swansea and around the beach head, which was great apart from the mount of people walking on a cycle track.. Great weekend, not a base for cycling though :)

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend with a group of couples. We were concerned we would all have to be tucked up in bed by 8pm judging by other reviews about wardens, and whilst we aren't mad party animals we were keen to watch the sun go down and have a few glasses of wine in the evening. There were absolutly no issues with the wardens, they left us to it. However we were respectful and did not create a lot of noise. The view was absolutly amazing, and well worth the price, however we had to get there pretty early to get the pitch. The facilities were kept clean and the staff in the reception were very knowledgable and friendly. Unfortunatly the weather was horrific, so we couldn't make the most of the local area! But all in all absolutly fantastic and we will definitley be returning in the summer ....if it ever arrives!

We spent last weekend at Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park. The staff were so helpful, the site beautifully clean and well managed. Really don't want to tell people about it and keep it to myself. A* place to stay. Dog friendly place and owners were very respectful and cleaned up after their pooches.

Room Tip: If you can book a sea view its breath taking.
