“A great walk and a great view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Top tip: visit in May - the rhododendrons are stunning at this time of year. However, the gardens are wonderful all year round, and a walk up the heights gives you a wonderful sweeping view over Swansea Bay.
Live jazz bands play on Sundays and there's storytelling for the kids. It's perfect for hide n seek and tree climbing. There's streams, a large pond, a tower to climb, bridges to cross and much more. Final top tip: visit in September and you can pick yourself an abundance of fresh hazelnuts!

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Just returned from our annual pilgimage to Clyne to see the wonderful rhododendrons (national collection) and azaleas and candelabra primulas - see my photos: words don't do it justice! Nearly 50 acres of beautiful gardens to wander - and all for FREE! You can get lost in a labyrinth of paths, with a variety of settings from dells to lawns with spectacular views across Swansea Bay, pools to lakes, bog gardens to Japanese gardens. May is the best time to catch the most colour, but the gardens are beautiful at all times of year. Take a picnic and sit on one of the many seats or spread out on the lawns. Watch the squirrels playing chase in the treetops! Find out more at http://www.swansea.gov.uk/clyne
Tip: car parking is free at lower entrance next to Woodman pub parking (turn LEFT as you enter car park)

This time of year with all the colours of Rhododendrons, the streams, bridges and dappled shade. A relaxing walk, could do without all the dogs! Parking next to the pub with the sign that tells you that you will be clamped if you set a tyre on their car park, welcome to Swansea!

“Stunning gardens, free to enter!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I visited over the late May Bank Holiday Weekend and was pleased to find that not only were these gardens stunning and huge, but also free to enter. We enjoyed the educational plaques on the exotic trees, the gigantic rhododendrons, and especially the absolutely massive elephant rhubarb. The gardens have a wonderful atmosphere. Am looking forward to our next visit.
