“Ruined by sour faced servers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012 via mobile

Very grumpy service, were put out by me asking for no bun on my hotdog as if it were a huge inconvenience, then got tutted at when we asked for cutlery 5 mins after our food was at the table, which was then dumped in a pile on the table end, they hadn't given us enough for each person and we had to go hunt down serviettes ourselves. When trying to pay the bill they said they were too busy to split the bill! If this place employed some people who know how to smile and some manners it could be a hit.

“Good server, poor burger”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

First trip to Eddie Rockets on a quiet on a Saturday tea-time.

The waiter was great, very helpful and attentive. Drinks arrived quickly (milkshakes) - barely time to look through the afforementioned jukebox and select a song. Not quite what I imagined, looking at the pictures on the website, but tasty enough.

The food wasn't great, in my opinion. I had the burger with swiss cheese and mushrooms, and the burger wasn't all together, it was burned, and the bun was like a Tesco Value bun - not nice at all. The swiss cheese was more like American cheese, all plasticy and sticks to the roof of the mouth. Plenty of it though, as the burgers are about 1/3 lb each. Girlfriend had the footlong hotdog with cheese, and that was ok, but again the bun was dreadful. We had the chips and onion rings to share, which were fine, but like the unsalted version of McDonalds chips, rather than anything special. When it says garlic fries, it just means the garlic sauce comes in a pot, rather than actually being cooked in garlic. Same with the chili fries, I am guessing.

All in all, distinctly average, but the server was good.

“Eddie Rockets - Yeah baby!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

Ok so its retro, and the food is all American burgers and hot dogs, but honestly what else would you want! If you're going for a burger go to Eddie's. The mini duke boxes in each table are just funny, so make sure to take your 20p coins and rock out to some old school tunes.
