Owner description: Cefn Mably Farm Park is a huge all weather family farm attraction & softplay in one. Set in rolling countryside close between Cardiff and Newport. We offer a unique mixture of farm animals and softplay areas - the ideal place for action packed days out with the kids, birthday parties, schools and groups. The park is designed for families with toddlers to teens. The fun begins as you enter the indoor soft play barn where the children can let off steam and you can relax using the free wifi with a coffee and a slice of home made cake on a comfy leather couch. Once you and the kids are worn out from feeding the animals on the farm and playing on the electric go-carts and real diggers. Then on the way home you can visit our new Farm Shop and Butchery called "Moody Sow Farm Shop" and pick up some good old fashioned 28 day matured steak for your tea and some home cured, home smoked bacon for your breakfast!!!.

“Not enough outdoor activity/stimulation”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014 via mobile

I visited over the half term break with my 2 children (5&3)and 2 friends with their children. The outdoor areas kept the children interested for about half an hour before the enticement of the soft play drew them in. There just simply isn't enough outdoor activity / animals to keep little ones engaged. I understand the animals are mostly donated but there could be much improved educational information and activities introduced. More and more people were being let into the farm and were gathered in the indoor cafe area as there is nothing much outdoors to do in the rain/cold. It was horrendous! I really will not be returning unless more investment is made in the outdoor areas, improved covered play areas outside and more interesting animals, especially given the prices that are charged to get in. I was hoping to spend the day there but after 2 hours I had to leave. The noise and chaos was too much.

“Greed over customer service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014 via mobile

I visited the farm today with 8 other families and I have to say in most part it wasn't a pleasant experience. The rude aggressive behaviour we received from the staff member with blond hair and glasses was shocking. Myself and a few other mums were eating in the cafe and in 20 minutes we were asked to leave 5 times, even when one of the mums was feeding her baby. We had bought many items from the cafe and this didn't seem to matter. The farm was extremely busy and there didn't seem to be anything in place to measure the amount of people entering. I have enjoyed previous visits to the farm, however it seems the owners greed and the poor level of staff members customer service skills will put me and many other families going there in the future.

“Good experience, prices let it down.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

It is a lovely little farm and is a nice place to go and take the childeren as it has petting areas and also a big play area. However on arrival the price for a family was quite expensive but then you have to pay extra fees to go on things such as the gokarts and the tractor. The outing can become very expensive if you then have food and drinks at the farm. I wouldn't recommend this place as it is a little to pricey and some staff were ill mannered.

“A great place for a two year old”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

I took my children here a few years ago and they loved it , more recently I took my two year old here ! Wow ! The place has changed so much !! My 2 year old loved the interaction with the animals by feeding the sheep, goats , cows , horses, after walking around there is a small playground, and for a small charge an opportunity to either pony rides , use a digger , go karts . After all that indoors is a ball pit and climbing area for the little ones .And although a bit expensive the cafe area provides really good food. And when all that is done ... The farm shop has some lovely fresh local produce and all the meat is locally sourced too. Spent quite a bit , however my child is still talking about it !
