“Tricky to find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

Usual Premier Inn high standards. Dinner and breakfast were interesting at the health club next door. Healthy food ( no burgers ) and superb breakfast. tricky place to find though. Tom Tom put me in the right place roughly - aim for the David Lloyd health club and drive through their car park.

Stayed March 2013

As the title says very central for day trips to most places.
Staff family friendly and take time to talk to you.
Rooms as you expect from a premier inn. Clean comfy beds etc.

Really quiet at the end of an industrial estate, really friendly and helpfull staff.
Very clean, warm room for the cold time of year, but floorboards and wifi really need to be sorted out!!
Close wakling distance to a very good bus route but no change given on buses! Correct money needed.
Would we go again? Yes.

Stayed at this hotel Good Friday through to the Sunday. So nice to find staff (reception and cleaning) pleasant and helpful. Hard hotel to find better asking for John Lloyd Fitness centre if ever asking for directions as there are 4-5 other premier inns in cardiff. Rooms lovely comfortable and clean

Stayed 2 nights on a break to Cardiff. It has plenty of free parking and is around a 10 minute drive in to Cardiff City Centre. It was a handy base but with taxis costing around £10 to the centre and still having to pay parking during the day if you went in, you need to weigh up how much you save on the room being out of the centre as oppose to paying the extra to be in the centre and the convenience. The hotel itself was usual premier inn standard and if the price was right on the rooms, I would stay there again.

We stayed 2 nights as our Daughter is studying at The University of Glamorgan. The Hotel was clean and well decorated. Our room was spotless and the facilities good. New LED HD TV with adequate channels, coffee and tee with kettle, hairdryer and towels. 30 mins free Wi-Fi per day in your room or £3 for 24hours. Wifi was good and worked constantly. Hotel was almost full but was quiet thru the night. Car parking is plentiful and free and in the Hotel gounds. Did not have breakfast, - which can be had in the David Lloyd Gym attached to the Hotel.
Only Minus was the position. Hotel is based in an Industrial area which means you need to commute to go anywhere. There is a bus stop in walking distance and buses cost £1.50 into Cardiff - which run frequently thru the week or hourly on a Sunday. Cardiff City Centre is about 2.5 miles away. We booked a taxi back on Sunday night which cost £5.40. There is a large Sainsbury's in walking distance and 2 or 3 Retail Parks nearby. We would stay again if we could not get accommodation at Premier Inn, City Centre.
