“Excellent value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

We stayed at the Angel recently and found the rooms to be spacious and comfortable. Yes could do with a freshen up but value for money! Central to the shops and ofcourse the Stadium. Well worth a stay if visiting Cardiff

Took advantage of the 2 nights and a meal deal. Got a free upgrade when we arrived, unfortunatly there was a football match on that night, and the street that our room overlooked got rather busy, but at least it was entertainment. It had all calmed down by the time we went to sleep. The staff here are lovely, and are genuinely friendly. I would reccomend this hotel for its brilliant location, friendly staff and its cleanlyness. I would definitly stay here again.

Stayed in the Angel Hotel for a week in the summer. Lovely Victorian building with lots of character. Great city centre location. Friendly and welcoming staff. Huge and lovely room, just needed a lick of paint to freshen up the decor, as it looked a bit dated and neglected. Food in the hotel was ok, but nothing to write home about. Buffet breakfast was fine as well. Recommended.

Couldn't of been a better location right in the heart of the City within easy walking distance of castle, Millenium Stadium and shopping centre. Room was comfortable if a little dated but more than adequate for the purpose of our stay, afterall you only sleep in the room. We only had breakfast while we were there but the choice on offer was outstanding, all freshly prepared and plenty of it. We will definately go there again. Have read a couple of the other reviews and agree that the hotel has creaky floorboards and as I've already said our bedroom was a little outdated but hey live a little enjoy the experience we were more than happy with the value for money stay

This is a hotel which gives you a really good first impression as its staircase is beautiful. We were staying for our friends wedding and they did an amazing job. The receptionist was lovely but a tad overworked as she appeared to be dealing with everything on her own. She was not rude though much to her credit. The room was huge and totally brilliant for the three of us. It is slightly shabby in some respects but was exceptionally clean and comfortable. All in all a good stay in a great location with lovely hotel staff.

Was a little anxious after reading some reviews on here but I was very impressed with the hotel. The room was very nice and so was the breakfast. A short walk to the shops and pubs. Would definitely return.
