“great value & good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We took my parents here during our trip to Wales. We had a wander around the Bay first and then headed in for some food.

The building from outside looks nothing really, a non descript office block type but when you walk up to the restaurant and enter it is wonderful! Very smart and very modern.

We were seated almost immediately, drinks orders were taken and then we were free to get stuck in to all the food on offer. There was a vast array of dishes to choose from.

They were replenishing the food quickly, so it was constantly hot and ensured freshness.

All dishes we all tried were wonderfully cooked and packed with flavour - seemed to be cuisine from around the world, UK, China, Japan, India and a few others!

After 4 revists to the food bar I was full, very full. But those garlic tiger prawns were so good!

Next came the desserts and this is where the disappointment set in. The presentation of the desserts was truly wonderful, however this was a case of all looks and no taste. I tried 2 of the mousses and they simply tasted like very watered down Angel Delight, the fresh fruit and ice cream was fine but the desserts that were the most visually appealing were actually a huge let down.

However the dessert isn't what you come here for really, it is just a nice way to end a meal and what a meal it was in fairness.

Staff were excellent.

I would highly recommend you consider this restaurant as a place to eat if in the Bay area.

“re-named but even better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

I have dinned at this restaurant many times along with others in the chain and was concerned to see that it had changed name.
I need to have.
If anything it is even better than before.
One of the best Pan-Asian buffets I have had in the UK.
Highly recommended,

“Cosmo no longer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

There is no longer a branch of Cosmo at this location, it now trades as JRC-globalbuffet.

Haven't visited so can't comment as to whether it is any different to previously.

Switch to JRC-globalbuffet was a few months ago, so recent reviews may be unreliable as people may have been reviewing a restaurant that doesn't exist...

“New name - and not quite the same as it was!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

Used to be called 'Cosmos', but underwent a re-branding. It's an 'all you can eat' pan-Asian buffet, which, all round is fairly good.

Since re-branding, they've fixed the menu, so it's the same choice of good each time you go. More expensive dishes (lobster, crab, some Korean dishes) are no longer on the menu, which is a shame.

Staff are polite - but silent & indifferent. Worth a visit once or twice a year if ever you're in need of a good feed.

Note - 'locals' tend to drink tap water - the profit largely appears to come from the over-priced drinks!

Have to say, my last few visits have not found it as good or as exciting as it was.
