this hotel is ideally situated for anyone wishing to spend a few days taking in the sites in caerphilly
especially the castle .20mins walk to the castle or a £3.50 taxi ride. great pub next door and a couple of others nearby.great value and very clean and friendly.

Room Tip: all rooms are far enough from the road and quiet

I have read numerous reviews on this hotel, many mention the beds...My husband and I found them extremely comfortable and enquired where we could get a bed like it. I have since researched it and find the beds are of excellent quality and by no means cheap to buy. Well done Premier Inn...dont let anyone complain about your beds again! As for Reception staff...brilliant, full marks.

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn, Corbetts Lane, Caerphilly, South Wales for the first time. The welcome was helpful and warm, check in easy and efficient, and the staff had helpful local knowledge. The bed was huge and very comfortable.
Being a fan of 'The Hotel Inspector' I ran my finger along the bed head, along the top of the picture and lifted the lou seat BUT the room/bathroom and bed linen were all spotlessy clean. I would recommend this Premier Inn. Well done Corbetts Lane.

Room Tip: I had an upstairs room at the back of the hotel the opposite side to the car park and it was lovely...

Excellent friendly welcome by reception - room up to usual high cleanlines standards - but the bed was a different matter! Probably the hardest bed I had ever tried to sleep in. Fortunately there was a couch in our room and I slept on that. Complained to reception in the morning and they offered another room for our 2nd night stay or said they would make up the couch for me, I chose the latter and had a very comfortable nights sleep. Usual gripe about the dearth of tea/coffee - only 2 tea bags and 2 coffee in room.
Used Cedar Tree for our eveing meals and found it to be excellent

Room Tip: Rooms facing east are quieter - away from very busy roundabout outside hotel

On arrival at the hotel we were warmly welcomed by Cara on reception. She was very helpful and gave us a map and directions for the venue for the funeral we were attending the following day.

We were very happy with our room, it was very clean and we got a good nights sleep even though the bed was firmer that we are used to. The bathroom was spacious and had everything we needed.

We decided to have our evening meal at The Cedar Tree, which is the onsite pub a very short walk from the hotel. We both chose to have the carvery, which was excellent. We are wary of carvery's as the vegetable's can be dry and unpleasant. No worries on this occasion, we both thought the meal was very good indeed, particularly taking into account the price.

We also had a full English breakfast in the pub the following morning and, once again, it was very good. No complaints from us.

This was our first stay in a Premier Inn. Based on this experience, we will definitely use them again.

Spent a great night there last week and couldn't fault anything.Although it's a half hour walk to the Town centre there are plenty of Pubs to stop off at en route! We didn't use the Pub at the Inn after reading the reviews here, but there are plenty of other good places nearby.

Firstly the good, The staff, welcoming and friendly. The Room, clean as always with a premier inn
Secondly, the not so good. The room, unbearably hot and stuffy. We where unable to regulate the temperature and there was no air conditioning. In the end we opened the window and put up with the constant noise of traffic. Also alot of noise from the room directly above us in the form of creaking footsteps, I think whoever was occuping that room was walking round in circles at all hours of the night !
The resturant was awful, had we not paid for breakfast in advance for 3 days I dont think we would have returned after the first morning. We where on a leisure break so consequently where later rather than earlier to breakfast. Not much left I am afraid. The staff had a take it or leave it attitude and did not even show us to a table it seemed the norm to find one yourself, not an easy task as most where not set up with cutlery etc or still had dirty pots on them. And the tables themselves where dreadful and looked totally unhygenic with deep scratches and most of the varnish flaked off, yuk !
In all fairness when asked by the receptionist when we where leaving about our stay, she did refund us one nights money for the room as premier inns good nights sleep guarantee did not work on this occasion.
Come on premier inn time to update this one with maybe aircon and completely refurbish the awful run down cedar tree restuarant
