A really warm welcome - friendly, accommodating, thoughtful and personal without being overwhelming in any way.
Beautiful room with stunning with stunning views. En-suite so clean it looked completely new, comfortable bed and sumptuous breakfast.
We were sad to leave and will soon be back!

This was our first visit to Wales and we were very lucky to find The Lodge. The location is superb with stunning views of the Brecon Beacons and the accommodation first class with delicious breakfasts. Our hosts Bronwyn and Steve were extremely welcoming, nothing being too much trouble for them. Bronwyn supplied maps of local walks and we climbed Pen y Fan, the highest point in the Brecon Beacons and very close to The Lodge. We also visited the very interesting South Welsh Borderers Regimental Museum in Brecon, one room being dedicated to the famous battle at Rourke's Drift featured in the film Zulu. We would like to visit the area again and we will definitely be staying at The Lodge.

We were really only looking for an overnight stay en route to Cornwall as my hubby wanted to visit the Royal Welsh museum in Brecon. Had it not been for the fact that the rest of our trip was all booked and paid for,we would loved to have stayed longer at this excellent guest house. From the booking process to departure, we couldn't have asked for more. Steve and Bronwyn were there to welcome us and settle us into our lovely room, which had very special views over the countryside despite the bad weather. The room was modern, very clean with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was absolutely spotless and the large walk in shower was so inviting and indeed I was very reluctant to get out of it. By far one of the nicest most powerful which I have ever been in.Breakfast was a delight with the tastiest, thickest slices of bacon. Thanks to Bronwyn and Steve for a lovely, albeit too short a break. If we are ever back in the area, we would go back to the lodge like a shot.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay and couldn't have asked for better accommodation or hosts. Steve and Bronwyn were there to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed including the fresh milk for the tea and coffee facilities in the room! The room was perfectly clean and had amazing views of the Brecon Beacons. Absolutely beautiful. We stayed here as an anniversary treat and we were pleasantly surprised with a little extra treat from Steve and Bronwyn (card & flowers) a real nice touch. Thank you :)

Breakfast was 10/10 cereals, fruit, yogurts, juice and most of all full English - pick what you want. Served with toast and tea/coffee. Nothing was too much trouble. Food quality was superb.

If you are looking to go walking as we did Steve was able to give plenty advice for various walks/pubs and places to go including where to eat of an evening. You are in the heart of it all .. We used taxi's of an evening A&A were reliable and fairly priced with friendly staff.

A very enjoyable two days we hope to return again soon.

Our stay at The Lodge, Brecon, was entirely satisfactory. The two rooms our group of four had were spacious, impeccably clean and well appointed. The cooked to order breakfasts were filling and scrumptious. Our hosts, Bronwyn and Steve were friendly, chatty and very helpful, without ever imposing. The view of the nearby village and the Brecon Beacons was breathtaking, and the walk to the private lake over the lane, where we were greeted by two proud swans and their six cygnets, unforgettable. I would unhesitatingly recommend The Lodge at Brecon to anyone seeking clean, modern accommodation, in a stunning setting and at a very reasonable tariff.

We booked the Lodge as it was a two minute drive to the wedding venue we were attending. We dropped our luggage off before the ceremony and were shown to our room which had a gorgeous view of the hills and countryside.
Breakfast was delicious and our hosts couldnt do enough for us.
Will definately be back as want to explore a bit more of the area and go horse riding near the accomodation.

We spent two nights here and enjoyed a lovely weekend break in Brecon Beacons.

You can be sure of a warm welcome from Bronwyn and Steve at The Lodge. Bronwyn was very helpful in answering my email queries beforehand and equally so in person! They’ve thought of every detail, including torches and umbrellas to help with the walk back from the village pub.

Our room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable. Our room had a lovely view of the Brecon Beacons.

The breakfast, too, is perfect, and kept us going all the way until dinner.

We don't drive so tried to find somewhere accessible by public transport. The bus 43/X43 between Abergavenny and Brecon goes right past The Lodge which was very convenient (check the timetable, though, as not all the services go through Llanfrynach, and the bus doesn’t run on Sundays).

Room Tip: Room 2 has a view of the mountains.
