“Lovely cafe!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This place does fantastic homemade soup, and is just generally better quality than your average cafe. I'm surprised at the negative reviews as when I visited the food was lovely, admittedly the young lad serving could have been a bit more attentive (I had to go and find someone so I could pay) but it was a very busy Saturday lunch time.

“Poor.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

This place is overpriced and staffed by disinterested staff. One member of staff( blonde woman) is particularly unfriendly. This review is based on 4 visits.

“Standards Suddenly Dropped”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

We were 'regulars' at what was a most marvellous place to have a snack for years up until about 2009 when there was a most dramatic fall in standards when the lady who had built up this business suddenly left. The new lady was pretty much disinterested and willingly gave out cups and mugs which had chips on the rims. When my wife complained, her amazing retort was "What am I supposed to do?"

We have not been there now for 18 months because we moved. We would love to hear that standards have again improved.????

“This is how cafes should be.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

We've not been to this cafe for a while now, but we used to vist Brecon on almost a weekly basis and Giglios was our usual place to eat. Their gormet sandwiches come with salad, potato wedges and delicious salsa or chutneys. Soup of the day and cawl is always superb,
It is usually full in there but doesn't feel cramped, we sometimes found ourselves sharing a table with other customers. The staff are a frendly bunch and they have a lot of regular customers.

“Pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Whilst visiting Brecon my wife and I stopped here for a snack lunch and were a little disappointed.
It cost £14.40 for two paninis and coffees which I found very expensive for what it was.
The wait was quite long for such a simple meal.
The inside of the premises was quite tight and we were lucky to have a table outdie on the thoroughfare.
